Infrastructure, From the Developer to the Local Government – Part II
Friday, August 23, 2019
9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Complimentary Lunch will be provided
As part of our continuing education about the development of a water district from undeveloped land to a vibrant community, we are bringing together a developer, an engineer, an attorney and an operator to walk us through the various phases of creation, growth, ownership and maintenance. Building on the information from the seminar presented this summer at the 2019 AWBD Annual Conference, we will give directors more information to guide them in their governance of their community.
What infrastructure does the district retain? What infrastructure is deeded to the county? The importance of follow-through when it comes to documentation. There is a difference between dedicating and accepting infrastructure. The developer may have dedicated that drainage facility to a public entity but did they accept it? The district may find out that the entity did not accept it. Now, what!
We hope to give all levels of directors guidance with questions to ask about your infrastructure and more knowledge about the process to prepare and resolve issues early on that you may face.
There is no cost to attend and space is limited, so please register today at: https://register.awbd-tx.org/Web/AWBD
