Notice of Public Meeting – October 11, 2016

Notice is hereby given to all interested members of the public that the Water Users Coalition will hold a meeting at the Harris County FWSD #61 Administration building, located at

13205 Cypress N. Houston, Cypress, Texas, 77429

The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.

7:00 – 7:15     Meet and Greet, refreshments will be available.
7:15 – 7:30     Introductions, Revised Mission Statement and Objectives.
7:30 – 7:45    AWBD guest speaker, MUDs are under attack! This may be the most important set of issues to ever confront AWBD and MUDs!
7:45 – 8:00   Making progress with the North Harris County Regional Water Authority.
8:00 – 8:15   Water Users Coalition, Advisory Council (Organizational planning).
8:15 – 8:30   Open Discussion, Q & A.

Harris County Fresh Water Supply District # 61 would like to express our sincere appreciation to the MUD community for all of the support we have received in the forming of the Water Users Coalition. Please consider attending this meeting!   The latest negative Houston Chronical articles and the previous legislative attempts by the counties to go after the Strategic Partnership Agreements between MUDs and the City of Houston, while also attempting to shift responsibilities of who maintains the roads and storm sewers will have a negative effect on the MUD community. This may be the most important set of issues to ever confront AWBD!
